Corey Brewer describes this past year as being nothing short of a rollercoaster. In October of last year, Corey Brewer reported to training camp facing minimal expectations as he was gearing up for a certain uphill battle, playing with worst team in the league. The Minnesota Timberwolves ended their season in April, finishing at just 17-65. Fortunately for Brewer, the free market business of the NBA worked out in his favor, as he was traded midway through the season to the New York Knicks. The Knicks went on to buy out Brewer’s contract, which ultimately allowed him to sign with the Dallas Mavericks. Winning it all is not a foreign concept for Brewer. Well before helping the Mavericks secure their first NBA Finals over the Miami Heat this past May, Corey Brewer has had the rare fortune of winning championships in every single phase of his career, from the junior high school level to the professional spotlight.
